VSC 1000 - Maintenance System for Needleboards

The VSC 1000 system has been designed for the automatic maintenance of needleboards to a pre-selected programme. The system is suitable for boards fitted to most makes and models of needlelooms but can be modified to suit particular specifications. The management software is based on the Windows computer programme.

The operator is responsible for installing the needleboard and ensuring the correct needles are available an the needle container for fitting into the board. The machine handles a wide range of needle specifications.

The first time a needleboard is presented to the machine, it is coded and the operator registers relevant details which determine the exact position of the needles in the board, this information is stored for future use.

The operator selects the required maintenance programme e.g.:

• Remove and replace any broken needles in the needleboard
• Remove and replace all the needles in the needleboard
• Remove and replace all the needles in a selected zone
• Remove and replace all the needles in a zone on rotation
• Remove all the needles from the needleboard
• Needle an empty needleboard

 

On completion of a programme the machine produces a record of the work done including the number of needles replaced and the number and position of any needles broken off flush with the face of the board.

The VSC automatic system is accurate, removing and changing needles without damage to the needleboard. Damage is a recurring problem when this task is done manually.

The system is flexible and most adaptable to customer requirements.
